Working in Field

Because of the plane surface, easy irrigation, fertile soil, the agricultural production is good here. Most of the people depend on farming. Nearly 5000 ropanies (74 square feet 5000) of land is used for rice crop. Other productions are wheat, maize, soya bean and some vegetables. Villagers need not have to starve as they have a plot of land of their own. One ropani of land produces nearly 5 quintals of rice. Now- a-days the farming land is going on decreasing because of higher population.
With a modernization most of the people are involved in the business which includes shops and other high standard work. Even most of the youngster have gone aboard to fulfill their needs and wants.

Harisiddhi google Map

About 8 km far from the capital of Nepal, on the way to south-east Godawari forest, there is a historical village named Harisiddhi Village where surname Maharjan of Newar caste is lived most.
This village is named by goddess Harsiddhi, whose 4 storied temple is situated in the middle of the village. The word Harisiddhi is by mistakenly used. Actually, it should be Hara (Shiva) and Siddhi (Parbati) or Harasiddhi which indicates a half of body is Shiva and the remaining half is Parbati or the attribute of ShivaParbati.
According to the Hindu Econography goddess Harsiddhi has 4 hands with Damaru, Kamandalu, Khadga and Kalash. The origin of this goddess is Ujjain India.
